Data use and citation ISRIC – World Soil Information, as the ICSU World Data Centre for Soils, makes available a range of soil geographic and attribute data. Most databases have been compiled using uniform methods (see ISIS, SOTER, WISE) and strict quality control was applied. However, ISRIC does not warrant that the data are error-free. In many cases, only incomplete data were available because of the limited measurements undertaken during the original surveys. Please be aware that the assessment of the accuracy and applicability of each dataset is strictly a user responsibility; ISRIC takes no responsibility for problems that may arise from use of the data. You are welcome to use the data but we ask you to acknowledge use of our datasets in any derived products. This will allow us to gauge the interest and usefulness of our services; please refer to the dataset documentation for recommended form of acknowledgement and correct citation. Also, we request that you send us a copy (reprint or PDF version) of any publication or map that uses data received from ISRIC – World Soil Information.
